About The Designer:
Alan Parsons
My passion for design began with my initial love of illustration and art. Growing up in the early 00’s I got to see several artists in the digital space rise to notoriety and success and I wanted nothing more than to draw alongside them. My love for art then introduced me to a passion for sequential art and storytelling, which in turn gave me my taste of design analysis. I learned about how people see things and how they see a page based on things like sizes, colors, text, and more.
Later in life I began to create freelance art while continuing a career in tech. I worked almost ten years at Apple retail, getting to see consumer electronics and liberal arts merge and grow. I worked with amazing people far more talented than me and tried to learn everything I could.
However, after leaving Apple, finding a corporate IT position, and subsequently getting laid off, I knew I needed something different. I wanted to try something new, but something I was passionate about. After exhaustive research I enrolled in Career Foundry’s UX design course.
It is my hope to work with even more amazingly talented people, learn even more, contribute to great products, and live my passion.
